Cleaner Wrasse

The Bluestreak Cleaner Wrasse is a unique fish that can be found singly, in pairs, and in groups. It forms a symbiotic relationship with other species by establishing a “cleaning station” where it removes unwanted parasites that may have attached themselves. To invite other fish to its cleaning station, the Cleaner Wrasse performs a calming up and down movement of its tail and may even clean the inside of larger fish’s mouths and gills.
