Green Mandarin Goby
The Green Mandarin, also known as the Striped Mandarinfish or Green Mandarinfish, has a mazelike combination of blue, orange, and green on its head and body. Male Green Mandarins have a more elongated first dorsal spine compared to females. This fish is extremely popular among aquarists due to its unique and stunning beauty. To keep a Green Mandarin, it is recommended to have a well-established aquarium of at least 30 gallons or larger, with live rock, live sand, and plenty of hiding places. This fish is moderately hardy in reef aquariums but requires special care. It is generally not aggressive towards other fish, except for conspecifics. The Green Mandarin has been known to successfully spawn in aquariums. This fish feeds on a variety of vitamin-enriched live brine shrimp, live black worms, and natural prey found on live rock and live sand.
