Hi Fin Red Banded Goby
The Hi Fin Red Banded Goby, also known as the Striped Goby or Blackray Shrimp Goby, has a silver-white body with a yellow face and distinct dark diagonal stripes. They are a peaceful addition to any passive fish-only or reef aquarium and can establish a symbiotic relationship with a pistol shrimp. To provide an ideal environment, keep the Hi Fin Red Banded Goby in an aquarium of at least 10 gallons with an ample amount of live rock and a sand bed. It is not aggressive towards other shrimp gobies and may even share a burrow with other species. However, due to its territorial nature, it may occasionally clash with conspecifics if kept together or if the tank is too small. Breeding the Hi Fin Red Banded Goby is possible in an aquarium setting. To maintain its health, feed the Hi Fin Red Banded Goby a diet consisting of vitamin-enriched brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, and chopped table shrimp at least twice daily. When introduced to a new aquarium, it may take a few days to start eating but will typically acclimate well.
