Koran Angel Juvenile S/M
The Semicircular Angelfish, also known as the Koran Angelfish or Halfcircled Angelfish, is a popular and robust species of angelfish. The adult has a yellow-green body color that fades from light to dark from front to back, with lighter areas speckled with blue and darker areas speckled with yellow. The head is plain yellow-green with sapphire-blue gill margins and eye rings. The fins also have sapphire-blue outlines. In contrast, the juvenile is black with white and blue stripes. To thrive, the Koran Angelfish requires a tank of at least 250 gallons with plenty of live rock for grazing on slime algae and cyanobacteria and for hiding. However, it is known to nip at stony and soft corals and clam mantles, making it unsuitable for a reef aquarium. A varied diet of high-quality angelfish preparations, Spirulina, marine algae, and mysis or frozen shrimp should be provided three times a day.
