Naoko’s Fairy Wrasse
The Naoko’s Fairy Wrasse is native to the Indian Ocean and is characterized by brighter and flashier colors in males compared to females. Adult males typically display red, yellow, and white colors with black, red, and blue fins, including a black pectoral fin. During courtship, males will show off their brilliantly colored fins to attract mates, and their colors may vary based on their mood. Peaceful and active, the Naoko’s Fairy Wrasse is an excellent addition to a fish-only or reef aquarium of 50 gallons or larger. However, when kept with other Cirrhilabrus or Paracheilinus wrasse, they may become territorial and dominate similar species. They pose no threat to corals or invertebrates, making them ideal for reef aquariums. Since these wrasses are prone to jumping, it is recommended to use a tight-fitting canopy. The diet of the Naoko’s Fairy Wrasse should consist of vitamin-enriched frozen mysis shrimp, frozen brine shrimp, and other meaty foods, as well as high-quality marine flake and pellet food.
