Neon Blue Goby
The Neon Blue Goby, also known as the Neon Goby, is famous for its stunning electric blue stripes. The head and sleek body of this fish are dark blue, featuring a distinctive light-blue stripe on each side of its body that runs the length of the fish, starting above its eyes. The Neon Blue Goby is a robust fish and its small size makes it an ideal addition to smaller nano reef aquariums. To keep a Neon Blue Goby healthy and happy, it should be housed in a 10-gallon or larger aquarium. It is typically non-aggressive towards other fish, although it can display territorial behavior towards its own kind unless they are a mated pair. It is common for this species to spawn in an aquarium, laying eggs in crevices or empty shells. In the wild, the Neon Blue Goby’s diet includes parasites picked off larger reef fish. However, in a home aquarium, it requires a varied diet that includes live and frozen brine shrimp, frozen mysis shrimp, table shrimp, and frozen food preparations for carnivores. If kept in a reef aquarium, the Neon Blue Goby should be fed once per day.
