Platinum Percula clownfish

SKU: AO3827Categories: Saltwater Fish

Prepare to be dazzled by the Platinum Percula, a captive-bred variation of the Percula Clownfish that will leave you in awe. ORA® has meticulously bred the Platinum Percula for years by selectively breeding their renowned Picasso Clownfish, resulting in a spectacular white fish that lacks the original striping of the species. These breathtaking creatures are predominantly white from head to tail, with black fins that stand out beautifully against their orange faces as they mature. While the Percula Clownfish is a stunning fish in its own right, it’s the symbiotic relationship it has with various anemones that captures the imagination of most aquarists. In the wild, the Percula Clownfish is commonly associated with anemones such as Heteractis magnifica or Stichodactyla mertensii. Found on reefs across Oceania, the Indo-Pacific, and off the coast of Australia, the Percula Clownfish, also known as the Clown Anemonefish, can grow up to 4-1/2 inches in length in the wild but typically grows to about 3 inches in captivity. They require an aquarium of at least 20 gallons with plenty of live rock to thrive. The Platinum Clownfish has a versatile diet, consisting of almost any meaty food items and herbivore preparations. With proper care and attention, the Platinum Percula can be a magnificent addition to any aquarium, captivating all who see it. It is reef safe.
