Powder Blue tang X-Large
The Powder Blue Tang, also called the Powder Blue Surgeonfish, boasts an oval body shape with bright and colorful markings. The fish’s stunning hues include various shades of blue, accented with yellow and white. The dorsal and pectoral fins stand out with bold yellow highlights, while the face and tail are outlined with striking blue-black markings. To house a Powder Blue Tang, a larger aquarium is recommended to allow for ample swimming room. Due to its highly aggressive nature towards other Tangswith similar forms and colors, this species is best kept alone unless in very large systems. If multiple individuals are to be maintained, they should be introduced to the tank all at once. While the Powder Blue Tang will eat meaty foods, it is essential to provide plenty of marine-based seaweed and algae in the diet. This will help strengthen the fish’s immune system, reduce aggression, and promote overall health. Offer dried seaweed tied to a rock or use a veggie clip, and feed at least three times per week using products such as Sea Veggies, Seaweed Salad, or Ocean Nutrition for optimal results.
