Sawtail Tang Small
The Saw Tail Tang is a moderately difficult marine fish species and may not be suitable for inexperienced aquarists. They are susceptible to parasites like ich, which makes the use of a UV filter essential. The Saw Tail Tang can adjust well to an aquarium of 120 gallons or more, but it’s important to be cautious when adding other tangs to the tank. As members of the Surgeonfish family, tangs are excellent grazers of algae and are identified by the scalpel-like structure on their tails (so handle with care). They should primarily be fed vegetable-based foods, which can be attached to the front glass using an algae clip or suction cup to observe this fish feeding.
