Tono’s Fairy Wrasse
The Tonozu Wrasse, also known as Cirrhilabrus Tonozukai, is a stunning fish with a bright red body and blue highlights on the fins. It requires a spacious aquarium of at least 50 gallons with plenty of live rock, hiding places, and open swimming areas. The aquarium should be equipped with a tight-fitting lid as the Tonozu Wrasse is known to jump. In terms of feeding, the Tonozu Wrasse is carnivorous and requires a varied diet that includes meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and chopped seafood. It is important to feed small amounts multiple times a day to ensure proper nutrition. The Tonozu Wrasse is generally peaceful towards other fish but may become aggressive towards other wrasses or fish with similar body shapes. It should not be housed with aggressive fish or those that may bully it. The Tonozu Wrasse is not commonly available in the aquarium trade and may be difficult to find. However, for those with a suitable aquarium and the ability to provide proper care, it is a beautiful addition to a reef or fish-only tank.
